Trail Cutting with the North Jersey Jeep Club

On November 11, 2011 we joined the North Jersey Jeep Club (NJJC) for a trail cutting event. The event took place in Shamokin, Pennsylvannia. We headed into the woods with our rigs just after 9AM Sunday morning. We were first assigned to clear a green trail, which brings you to the top of the mountain. We got that trail done very quickly, with the help of over 6 chain saws, a few hand saws, and about 20 people moving the brush off the trail.

After the green trail, we moved on to making a red trail, which will run along side the green trail. This trail took a lot longer because there was no existing trail there. As you will see in the pictures, the red trail looks like a long ravine with trees in every direction. We managed to clean it out enough to test drive Andrew Junior's Grand Cherokee (WJ) through the trail.

Aside from having to cut down a few more trees during the test run, the trail is now successfully a red trail. In the video you can see the actually footage of the test run, plus two other vehicles who tried it after Andrew. Along with the video, is a link to the pictures of this entire event.
